Gerhard Richter
Famous artist Gerhard Richter is 1 of the most renowned artists alive right now. A little background on him is he was born on February 9th, 1932, in Dresden, Germany he's known for his diverse amount of paintings. He lacks a single stylistic direction. A painting by him called " Lesende (in English it means The Reader) " is a beautiful painting of a woman reading a book and some mistake it as a photo he's very diverse so this is not one of his abstract paintings but rather a realistic one. Another painting by him is " Abstraktes Bild (809-1) " which is more abstract than realistic and shows how diverse he is.

Peter Doig is another very well-known artist. He is a Scottish painter and was born on April 17th, 1959 in Edinburgh, United Kingdom he draws landscapes with people but it's also abstract. He's famous for a painting called " White Canoe " which he sold for $11.3 million. Then in February 2013 his painting "The Architect's Home in the Ravine " sold for $12 million at another auction! Also, he's known for winning the Whitechapel Artists Award in 1991. Overall he's an amazing landscape-abstract artist and continues to thrive in the art community!

Yayoi Kusama
Yayoi Kusama is well-known by many people she's very unique and she is a contemporary artist! She is Japanese and was born on March 22, 1929, in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan her art looks very special and I've never seen anything like it but it's also very well done. She's known for her paintings, sculptures, pop art, and more! Her art is inspired and informed by her memories of childhood abuse, repression, and trauma, and her ongoing experiences with mental disorders. She also destroyed some of her artwork cause of fierce opposition from her family, especially her mother.
She's been living in a psychiatric asylum in Tokyo voluntarily for the past 40+ years. Overall she is a unique artist and it's very sad what has been throughout she gets better and her art is very good!
Yayoi Kusama said, " I think I will be able to, in the end, rise above the clouds and climb the stairs to Heaven, and I will look down on my beautiful life. "
