This week's student voice piece is done by Jaxon King.

Jaxon King is a new 5th-grade student here at Classen SAS Middle School. His great love of fishing and his deep heartfelt love for his family inspired him to make this poem. It took him around 45 minutes to create this poem. Fishing is one of his favorite hobbies and he decided to make this piece to embrace his love for it. Jaxon is 11 years old and he wants to get a great new start here at Classen his very interesting poem ended up here on the ORBIT website. Thanks for turning in your work, Jaxon!

I love my family. Too much to describe. It's probably because I’m just a regular guy.

So much support wrapped around me. So much more, than I can see.

I work my best to be kind. I just gotta sit back and rewind.

Dad and I love to fish. I settle down in my chair and begin to wish, praying for a fish.

I feel a bite on my line. I already know it’s gonna be mine.

I yank the rod into the air. Then the fish soared off and landed in my hair!
