"Mellow" by Mariah Walker has been chosen for this week's student voice article.

Mariah Walker is an 8th-grade drama major with a big heart for the arts! She almost always has a smile on her face and shares a big passion for music, drama, art, choir, and more. It took her less than 20 minutes to create Mellow. This poem was made on November 7th, 2024. This was in fact not Mariah's first poem she had ever written. If you look below, you'll see her poem, Mellow.

Breathing slow

Walking fast

Bite your tongue

Will this last

Feeling out

Hold my hand

Don't say a word

It comes unplanned

The leaves fall quick

I feel them go through

As you slip

The walls draw near
